Jimmy Buffett, known as a singer and songwriter to also he was a well-known author and businessman, died 1st of September. It’s predicted that the cause of his death is the skin cancer that he has been suffering from for the last four years. The departed singer was born in Mississippi in 1946 and spent his childhood there.
He started his singing career in 1970 and released his first album Down to Earth. After a certain time, the audience welcomed the album broadly and he became famous. But a matter of sorrow that with the hitting of his album, the severity of his addiction raised proportionally. He had vodka at least a quarter a day and cocaine to stay awake and continue his days. Also, he lost his relationship with family and lost a bunch of contracts as well.
His addiction was mainly to alcohol and cocaine. He was sent to rehab to recover. And the good thing was he welcomed the treatment and recovered a bit fast. But after returning from rehab, he relapsed again within a few weeks. His cocaine addiction was so serious that later in 1970 he was arrested for cocaine possession.
Early in 1980, he was sent to rehab for addiction again (The name of the rehab wasn’t revealed till now.) At that time, he recovered a bit satisfactorily and tried enough to be sober such as joining support groups, attend 12-steps meetings. He did his best to remain sober including quitting smoking, maintaining a proper diet, exercising daily till 1983 and managed to be sober even after that.
He showed his gratitude to his family and friends, who supported him while in rehab and helped him before, during, and after rehabilitation. He added without the help of his loved ones, he couldn’t stay sober for long and quit addiction.
Even after his rehabilitation, he was seen as a vocal instructor of drug treatments. Additionally, he donated a huge amount to support addiction treatments.
Even the changes were noticeable in his songs too. His earlier songs were more careless than had feelings such as “A Pirate Looks at Forty”, “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, “Fins”, and “Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On”. But after getting sober his songs became more heart-touching, lovable, and emotional including “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes”, “License to Chill”, and so on.
He was well known and left a mark on our hearts for his songs Margaritaville. There are a huge number of songs including It’s Midnight and I’m Not, Tin Cup Chalice, Volcano, Come Monday, Knee Deep, Nobody From Nowhere, Piece of Work, Twelve Volt Man and on and on.
Also he marked himself in televisions too including I Love Liberty, Breaking All the Rules, Voices That Care, New Orleans Live!, Hurricane Relief, Buried Treasure and so on. All this made him alive in our heart and playlist on the upcoming days. We’ll pray for the departed soul from the bottom of our heart and that his loved ones heal the loss soon.
