Oppenheimer and the Tiktok account @thatsnotlove were hitting on the top of gossip from last week. It started from a TikTok post of content creator Jourdan while watching Oppenheimer with her husband. It is noticeable in the clip how the couple avoids intimate scenes of the movie and that’s where the questions arise from the viewers and the topic comes up in light again.
Jourdan’s husband’s addiction was revealed in 2022, at that time she suspected that her husband watched porn regularly as that type of addiction couldn’t be detected by any diagnosis.
So, she started to notice the daily activities of her husband. And ended up finding that his daily life activities including his job, sleep, and food weren’t affected but he had a fascination in porn and watching other women nude. “I was blind to the signs and I knew something deeper was going on with him, but I had no idea it was porn” Jourdan Kher added.
At that time, she shattered completely and couldn’t believe how a man of two kids did so after 10 years of married life. “I was a mess, I was crying every day, I wasn’t eating ” Jourdan mentioned while describing the situation.
It is kind of traumatic when you find your loved one interested in the intimacy of others rather than your own. That feeling contains mental stress, anxiety, depression, emotional breakdown, and so on. Psychological specialist Jennifer Joy Freyd pinpointed it as “Betrayal Trauma.”
At that moment Jourdan entered on Tiktok as @thatsnotlove and started posting from October 13, 2022, with a short titled “Day 1 of healing from betrayal.” Here she put up her voice for the anti-porn movement. She posted the contents mentioning ‘corn’ in the place of ‘porn’ to avoid any cyber issues. She started sharing her struggle and stories of how she was overcoming the issue. And mentioned how this porn addiction could harm a healthy relationship.
Additionally, the good news is that Jourdan’s husband chooses to recover from the addiction and select the path of staying sober. He started seeing a therapist to stay sober and get rid of his porn addiction. Also, to get positive results he joined support groups to find out about the journey, and struggles of other addicts.
As well to control his cravings, he adopted some medications and hobbies. That helped him to divert his triggers.
She supported the spouse of this kind of addict. And aware of the movement. Jourdan has up to 80K followers now on TikTok. She’s not a professional therapist or coach but is eager to help the wives and individuals who suffer from their loved ones porn addiction via online.
By the way, she started charging $50 for an hour call. Currently, it’s unexpected for her to overreact over the comments of her recent TikTok video. But it’s also noticeable that a huge portion of the audience supports her reaction.
Moreover, we want a healthy and stable relationship for everyone and support any movement that creates a positive impact on the netizen.
