Remember Paige McCullers? The most important supporting character of the ABC family’s Pretty Little Liars. She remarked on the series from seasons one to four. But suddenly she wasn’t present from season five.
Primarily suspected that the reason for her disappearance was her addiction. And she confirmed that in the latest PodCo’s of Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide.
She was born in 1986 and entered the industry in 2004 through the series of Nickelodeon called “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”. She was suffering from Adderall addiction for several years. Which led her to take drugs to get a slim figure and deal with mental stress.
Adderall may be prescribed to lose weight and stay awake but constantly taking this drug may lead one to addiction as it changes the brain function. Shaw mentioned that “it was really hard, and I especially — I got basically let go from Pretty Little Liars in season five because of the weight that I had lost, and it was an embarrassing thing.”
Her addiction became so severe that she went to rehab in 2014 to get back to a normal life. With her self motivation, proper treatment from rehab, medication, the therapies, consultants, support groups, relapse prevention tricks as well her family, friend, loved ones helped her a lot to get rid of from addiction and stay sober.
Additionally, the turn over of Shaw was remarkable and appreciative of how she adopted the fact and kept trying.
Apart from this she played a number of roles in different films even before and after her rehabilitation including “Nic & Tristan Go Mega Dega”, “Devolved”, “The Howling: Reborn”, “Yellow Day”, “Temps”, “1/1” and so on. Additionally, she entered television roles such as Claire Tolchuck in Aliens in America, Vivian Bingham in Eleventh Hour, Sasha Harvey in Faking It, Karina in Hers and History, music videos and on and on.
However, she made things easy and true. And now leading a normal life with success. She’s now sharing her bad days and experiences with her fans. We’re wishing her a long life and hits for the upcoming days.
